Castile Soap
Our Concentrated All-Purpose Castile Liquid Soap has a silky smooth lather that is gentle enough for babies, yet effective enough for most of your home cleaning tasks. It has many fabulous uses such as hand soap, bath soap, dishes, camping, household cleaning, as a dog shampoo, and stain removal. And because it's concentrated, one refill will go quite a long way.
How to use
Hand Soap or Foaming Hand Soap: Castile makes a great gentle, non drying hand soap. Fill a soap dispenser about 3/4 (regular pump dispenser) or 4/5 (foaming hand soap dispenser) with water. Some recipes recommend distilled water, but we use water from the tap and it works just fine. Fill the rest of the way with castile soap. For foaming hand soap, do the same thing using a foaming soap dispenser. Soap may separate in container, just give it a shake before using. You can add a tablespoon or 2 of a carrier oil such as almond oil, fractionated coconut or olive oil.
Dog Shampoo: Castile is great for pets, especially pets with sensitive skin. Recipe: 4 cups of water + 3 tablespoons baking soda + 1/2 cup castile will make enough shampoo for a few washes depending on the size and hair type of your dog. ScenteD Castile is ok, but never use anything tea tree scented as it can be toxic for pets.
These are just a couple uses for Castile, but a quick internet search will yield lots of DIY recipes for this versatile, gentle soap.
Ingredients
Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Organic Olea Europaea (Olive)Fruit Oil, Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Potassium Hydroxide*, Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citric Acid, Organic Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Organic Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Flower Extract. Scented with essential oils.
Warning
Do not mix with vinegar or lemon juice. It's not dangerous, but acids will unsaponify the soap and curdle it. The result will be messy and oily and get all over what you are wanting to clean rather than clean it.
