Bamboo & Sisal Handled Dish Brush

Regular price $3.50 $0.00
This removable-head dish brush has a bamboo handle and brush head, with sisal fiber bristles. It is held together with silver metal wire, and includes a small wire loop at the end for hanging dry. This natural fiber brush replaces plastic handled dish brushes. Can be used to wash general dishes as well as to loosen stuck on food.

  • After using rinse soap off and give a couple good shakes to get excess water off. Do not leave any of the wood parts soaking in water, the wood will absorb and cause it to swell and crack
  • Hang your brush, or store bristle side down, to keep water from pooling on the handle and with air circulation to prevent mold
  • A baking soda and vinegar or just a vinegar rinse will help remove mold if any begins for form (submerge up to where the wood starts, soak for 10-15 minutes)
  • Don't put in a cupboard or drawer if still wet

Brush should last 2-6 months and maybe more depending on usage and care. The handle should last for a couple years with normal usage. Don't apply undue pressure on the handle or it will break.

Replacing the brush head: The first time, it is a little stiff to bend the wires and you may need to use a pair of pliers to loosen it. (use caution). The subsequent times, you can use strong fingers to squeeze the wires together, loosen the metal grip, and pop off the brush head. Just slide a new brush head on and replace the metal grip that holds it tight.

Once worn out, bamboo and sisal parts can be composted or buried in the garden, the silver metal parts can be recycled.
