Garbanzo Beans (Organic)
Our Organic Garbanzo Beans are grown on a farm that has been in Legrange, Oregon by our oldest grower. He is 85+ years old and still farming strong!
Our Organic Garbanzo Beans are plump, creamy and delicious. An excellent source of protein and fiber, garbanzos supply roughly 27 percent of daily protein and 50 percent of our fiber requirements in one cup. They are especially high in folate, manganese and iron, which are important components in the body's anti-oxidant activity.
Your Garbanzo beans will come in a bag made from 100% recycled paper, fully lined with NatureFlex*- a clear greaseproof film made from wood pulp. These bags are certified for industrial composting only. PLEASE RETURN THEM TO US so they can be properly composted. They will not break down in the landfill and cannot be recycled.
Grown in Oregon
*NatureFlex Is made from natural, renewable wood pulp. It is both biodegradable and compostable. These bags are certified by the Composting Manufacturing Alliance, but please RETURN THEM TO US for composting as they are not accepted in Tacoma or other Pierce County municipal food waste bins. They WILL NOT break down in the landfill ( In fact, no bioplastics labeled biodegradable or compostable will break down in the landfill) We have partnered with Cedar Grove Composting facility where all our certified packaging can be industrially composted.
