Whole Wheat Flour (Organic)
Organic Hard Red Wheat is grown regionally (within the Northwest), then milled locally at Camas Country Mill in North Eugene. This mill is certified Organic by Oregon Tilth. The milling process does not heat the grain or flour, keeping the volatile oils and nutritional benefits intact and thus making this a raw product. Perfect for baking whole wheat bread.
Your flour will come in a bag made from 100% recycled paper, fully lined with NatureFlex*- a clear greaseproof film made from wood pulp. These bags are certified for industrial composting only. PLEASE RETURN THEM TO US so they can be properly composted. They will not break down in the landfill and cannot be recycled.
*NatureFlex Is made from natural, renewable wood pulp. It is both biodegradable and compostable. These bags are certified by the Composting Manufacturing Alliance, but please RETURN THEM TO US for composting as they are not accepted in Tacoma or other Pierce County municipal food waste bins. They WILL NOT break down in the landfill ( In fact, no bioplastics labeled biodegradable or compostable will break down in the landfill) We have partnered with Cedar Grove Composting facility where all our certified packaging can be industrially composted.
